Free Practice 1
A beautiful morning in Monaco with blue skies and fans in the grandstand. The FP1 started in a normal way, well not for everyone though. After mere 4 laps, Charles Leclerc had a gearbox and had to retire the car and end his FP1 session in his home Grand Prix. While his teammate Carlos Sainz was on a flying lap. It looks like Carlos was determined to top the session with his Ferrari. As Ferrari was trying to see what the gearbox problem was, all eyes were set on the new shiny Gulf livery of McLaren. Earlier this week, McLaren unveiled their new one-off Gulf livery for the Monaco GP. The bright orange and light blue livery looked absolutely beautiful on the streets of Monaco. While Lando Norris finished 7th. His teammate Daniel Ricciardo finished 15th. A decent finish for McLaren. The session came to an end with Sergio Perez of Red Bull Racing as the fastest of all followed by Sainz, Verstappen, Gasly, Hamilton and Bottas.
