Now that free practise one and two are over. What did we learn from both sessions?
After a few laps around the new Miami circuit, everyone started to get an idea of how this track is built. According to Christian Horner, this new track is a mixture of Baku and Jeddha. Both knowing for the tight straights and fast and tricky corners.
A couple of cars had some spins in turn 14 like Checo and Carlos. Max losing just a tad bit of balance. All cars lay down a good amount of rubber on the new circuit. Bottas spun around and went into the barriers, causing the first red flag of the session. A costly mistake from the Alfa Romeo driver.
All in all, the first session went smoothly.
Free practise two started off with a red flag as Carlos buried his Ferrari into the barriers. The string of bad luck continued for the Spanish drivers for the third week straight. FP2 had some mixed results as George Russell topped the charts followed by Charles and Checo. Mercedes is back on top with Sir Lewis in P4. Meanwhile, Max had a terrible session as the Miami heat raised, his rear brakes caught on fire and he had to end his session.
With qualifying around the corner, who will take the inaugural pole in Miami.....will be Ferrari or the bulls or someone else.
