Roaring RedBulls, Ferrari's fiasco and midfield battles

Twenty cars racing in the land of fire. The Azerbaijan Grand Prix 2022 was one of the most interesting races to watch. It was a mix of happiness, sadness, delight and a bit of every emotion fixed together.

As the lights went out, Perez was already ahead of the pole man, Charles, who locked up going into turn one.

In the back, Sebastian Vettel gained a place in the first lap. Latifi was given a 10-second stop-and-go penalty for starting grid infringement, which he served and ended up tumbling down to p20. RedBull seemed a lot quicker.

Max Verstappen was on Leclerc's tail from the start. By lap 8, he was much closer to Charles.

A virtual safety car was triggered in lap 9 when Carlos Sainz went into the run-off area I turn 4 and reported that something broke. That was the end of his race. The streak of bad seems to just follow poor Carlos. With one Ferrari out, all hope was on Leclerc to come home with maximum points.

The majority of the grid took advantage of the safety car and pitted.

Sebastian Vettel who was right behind Ocon and almost overtook him but locked up and went off into the run-off area but he managed it pretty well and came back out in p12. By lap 15, Max took the lead of the race followed by his teammate behind him.

Lap 20 brought heartbreak to all the Tifosis out there, Charles Leclerc had to retire from the race with an engine issue.

Not the weekend Ferrari and the Tifosi wanted after the madness in Monaco. Another engine-related issue to a Ferrari-powered car. Zhou was told to retire the car, who was driving superbly.

Virtual Safety car number two, after KMag stopped on the side of the track as his engine gave out too. More and more concerns for the Ferrari-powered cars today. Taking advantage of the VSC, teams decide to pit again.

Yuki Tsunoda was shown a black and orange flag as his DRS was half broken but the team pitted him and tapped his DRS with some flex tape.

Max Verstappen win in Baku. A redemption day for him after Baku last year when he was out of the race due to a puncture. Perez in P2 and Mr Sunday, Geroge Russell taking p3 for Mercedes. A very good day for in the Mercedes garage a Hamilton finishes in P4 and was the DOTF but he did hurt his back due to all the porpoising. Wishing him a speedy recovery. An excellent race for Sebastian Vettel as he manged to get into the top 10 after his spin. P6 is an amazing result for him and the team as well. managed

Next up Canadian Grand Prix June 17-19
