The Azerbaijan Grand Prix

With Charles Leclerc on the 9th pole of his career and 2nd pole of this season with Lewis Hamilton on P2 and Max Verstappen in 3rd, it was the most interesting race waiting to happen.

And it's lights out and away we go !!!!!

Leclerc charged his way from Lewis and Max. He managed to keep his pole for a couple of laps before Lewis overtook him in lap 3. Esteban Ocon was out in lap 4 due to a mechanical error and with that Ocon's race got over by lap 4. The race was on a full charge as Max Verstappen claimed P2 in lap 7 and shortly his teammate Perez took over P3 in lap 8.

In lap 31/51 safety car was deployed as Lance Stroll crashed due to a puncture in his left rear.

With the safety car on and Max leading the race, it looked like a comfortable win for the Red Bull. The race restarted after a few laps of the safety car and Max charged his way for another win for the dutchmen. With 5 laps to go, Max's left rear tire blew up and he crashed.

A gut-wrenching stop to Max and his win as Sergio Pezer let the race. Since there was a lot of debris on the track, the race was red-flagged and all cars returned to the pitlane. Thrace re-started with a standing re-start with Perez in P1, Lewis in P2 and Sebastian in P3. It looked like a comfortable win for Hamilton if he overtook Perez in the re-start. The race re-started and Hamilton overtook Perez in turn one but when straight into the escape roads as his brakes were too hot. With Hamilton dropped to P15, Perez crossed the line to win his first Red Bull win in Baku. He was followed by Sebastian Vettel in P2 and Gasly in P3.

Azerbaijan saw an unlikely podium. But everyone liked that. Sebastian Vettel took his first win and first podium in his new team of this season. This podium is a turning point for Aston Martin and we are looking forward to more unlikely podiums like this.

And that was the wrap on The Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

Well, we will meet again for Round 7 in France for the Emirates Grand Prix De France 2021 from 18th June to 20 June.
