Qualifying

Lando Norris had a massive crash during his flying lap but was uninjured. A statement was released from McLaren racing stating Norris was cleared to race after he was taken to the hospital to x-ray his elbow. Norris suffered some bruises but was clear to race afterall.

Rainy Race

The Belgian Grand Prix now holds the record for the shortest race in Formula one history, only 6.88km was covered behind the safety car due to heavy rains in Belgium. There was a three hours hold on the race with a grandstand of fans waiting for some racing action.

It was not technically "racing" since no cars were allowed to overtake. But after two laps, half points were awarded to the top three - VER, RUS, HAM. Williams celebrated their first podium with joy, a great day for Williams indeed.

UPDATE: The FIA will discuss new regulations to prevent another Spa incident during the next FIA meeting.

The standings after Spa are as follows
