We are back in the Lion City !!!

Formula One returns to Singapore after two years. This is the first official night race on the F1 calendar, the longest race ad he most physically demanding race.



During the course of the two-week break, all the drivers were seen training and working hard for Singapore. This street circuit and fast with high-speed corners.

FP1 and FP2 went underway but with a lot of yellow flags and hot heated cars on track.

Four minutes into FP1 session and Charles Leclerc was already having problems with his brakes.



There were a couple of yellow flags when drivers lose control in turn 5 but it was cleared away quickly. Lance Stroll brought out a red flag when he stopped on track after having contact with the barriers. No major damages were done. FP1 session came to an end with Sir Lewis topping the session for this season.


FP2 session was under the lights. All 19 cars were out except Charles who was having issues with his braking system. It was very similar to the first session. He did join others in the second half of the session. Gasly's car caught on fire, literally, when he was being rolled into the pits.



Thanks to an Aston Martin mechanic, it was extinguished immediately and Gasly jumped out of the car in time. No major damages were done and he joined others for the remaining of the session. FP2 session ended with Carlos Sainz leading the session.








Also a very happy 25th birthday to Max Verstappen.
